21^st October 2011, the Sampath Bank PLC announced to Colombo Stock Exchange that the banks have received the Approval of the Central Bank of Srilanka to Set up 2 Subsidiary to conduct the Following Business.

Life Insurance ( the banks Need to make a Application in ti Insurance Board of Srilanka for Approval)
Merchant Banking

The New Ventures are good for the Sampath Bank PLC to Developed their Financial Growth and Business Development. The New industries Emergent will boost to the Srilankan Economy and the End user.
