The Hambantota International Airports is tested by first test flight landing in last week, where it’s a confirmation of the Air transport technological supports and the Airport ready for Commercial operations.
As per the general public expectation the Hambantota Airport may expected open in 2013/2014 for commercial operations.
Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa declared open the fully-refurbished mini pavilion of the old racecourse ground in Colombo, which has been turned into fully equipped modern shopping and restaurant complex.

The Undergraduate Leadership training programme will be launched in three sessions at 29Army Camps in North, East, Colombo, Kandy and Galle Districts. The programme is aim to improve the leadership qualities and the loyalty towards the nation and social with great concern.
