The Coconut Research Institute (CRI) plans to conduct a series of One Day Educational Programmes alone with field demonstrations on the following specific technical areas.

• Replanting and Management of young palms
• Soil & moisture conservation and irrigation in Coconut lands
• Effective use of organic and chemical fertilizer
• Effective use of fertilizer and soil fertility improvement
• Intercropping and animal based farming systems
• Coconut pest and disease management
• Rehabilitation of low yielding Coconut plantations
• Estate management and record keeping
• New Coconut based products

These programmes will be conducted at CRI Head Office at Lunuwila and Substations at Arachchikattuwa, Madampe and Walpita.

The medium of instructions will be in Sinhala.
