Survey Identifies Policy and Technology Related Constraints and Skill Gaps in the export oriented light engineering industry

Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) is making arrangements to carry out a survey to identify policy and technology related constraints and skill gaps in the export oriented Light Engineering industry when entering the export market.

Objectives:

To select a group of export oriented Manufacturers of Light Engineering products to assess the policy and technology related constraints and skill gaps which prevent them in exporting to International markets. The findings of this survey will be used to develop strategies to upgrade industry, bridge the gap identified and assist manufacturers to enter into the export market.

 

For whom:

Export Ready manufacturers of Light Engineering products

 

Date of Commencement:

May 2013 for duration of 3 months

 

Mode of selection:

It is proposed to select 25 to 30 Export Engineering manufacturers of Light Engineering products for this programme by a selection committee appointed by the EDB.

 

Application procedure:

Application should be made in the prescribed form available at the Industrial Products Division, 6th floor, EDB. This form is also available on the EDB website: www.srilanka.business.com under the events and announcements. Duly completed applications should reach Director, Industrial Products, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, No 42, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 02 before 13th May 2013.
