  • Electronics Technology (Special) – 3 Years
  • Electrician (NVQ 4) – 3 Years
  • Construction Supervisor (NVQ 4) – 1 ½ Years
  • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic (NVQ 4) – 2 Years
  • Machinist (Special) (NVQ 4) – 3 Years
  • Offset Printing (NVQ 3) – 1 Years
  • National Diploma in Information Communication Technology (NDICT)- 1 ½ Years
  • Information & Communication Technology (ICT) (NVQ 4) – 1 Years
  • Computer Graphic Designing (NVQ 4) – 1 ½ Years
  • 3D Animation – 1 ½ Years
  • Welder (NVQ 4) –  3 Years
  • Plumber(NVQ 4) – 2 Years
  • Wood Technician (furniture) (NVQ 4) – 2 Years
  • Basic Book Binder – 1 Year

All courses have been designed under Dual Training System. Accordingly Basic Training will be provided within the Institution during the first half of the training period. Further I training will be provided in Government & Private Institutes during the second half of the training period.

There is a tremendous increase of job opportunities locally and internationally for technician in the fields such as welding technology, and wood technology. In the Welding course new welding techniques are taught.

Applications will be entertained from persons who are not below than 16 years and not more than 35 years to 05.11.2013 and application prepared on an A4 size paper should be sent to Director/Principal, Apprenticeship Training Institute, 581,Galle Road, Katubedda, Moratuwa before 05.11.2013. Photo copy of a paying voucher from any Bank on payment of Rs.500/= credit to the Ac.No. 313100153656984 to Katubedda Peoples Bank attach to the application (Specimen application can be downloaded from the web or see the Gazette dated 04.10.2013)
