The government has decided to close 29 schools in the Colombo city from November 6^th to 19^th in view of the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled to be held in Colombo, the Ministry of Education said. 6 more schools will also be closed from November 7, 8 and 9 during this period.

The schools that will be closed in the Colombo district from November 6^th to 19^th November 2013

3. Rajasinghe College Maligawatte
4. Ashoka Vidyalaya Maradana
5. Ananda College, Maradana,
6. Viharamahadevi Girls’ School, Maradana
7. Sangaraja College, Maradana
8. Holy Rosary Sinhala School Slave Island
9. Holy Rosary Tamil School, Slave Island
10. T.B Jayah College, Slave Island
11. Al- Iqbal College, Slave Island
12. Mihindu College. Keselwatte
13. Al- Hikma College, Keselwatte
14. Kotahena Central College
15. St. Paul’s Girls’ School Milagiriya
16. Hindu College, Bambalapitiya
17. Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo-5
18. Isipathana College, Colombo-5
19. C.W.W. Kannan-gara Maha Vidyalaya, Borella
20. Susamayawardena College, Borella
21. Royal College, Colombo- 7

Al- Hi-daya College Maradana and A. E. Gunasinghe College, Colombo will be closed from November9 to 19.
