Sri Lanka Navy signs MoU with CIMA

Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage and CIMA Chief Executive Officer CharlesTilley, signed the MoU representing the two parties.

Under this MOU, The CIMA Sri Lanka Branch would facilitate SLN officers to follow the Certificate Business Accountancy Course leading to the CIMA Associate Membership.

Tutorial classes would be conducted at the SLN premises in Colombo and Trincomalee, while the duration of the course would be six months. Those qualifying could pursue the next higher levels in the CIMA educational program which would be in four stages and which could be completed within a period of two and half years.

The inauguration ceremony of CIMA’s first batch of Naval officers was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium at SLN Parakrama, to coincide with the MoU.
