Government looking forward to replace the fleets of Srilankan Airlines

The heavy expenditure incurred in repairing the existing fleet of aircraft belonging to Sri Lankan Airlines had contributed significantly to its losses in the past. Stated by Minister of Civil Aviation Priyankara Jayaratne in Parliament.

He stated there is a upgrading of entire aircrafts is expected to be within 5 years to mitigate losses and He said that 79,787 passengers arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport per week while 72,339 had departed from the country. And 22,787 passengers had transited from the airport during this period.
