The Krrish Group would invest US$ 650 million to build three towers and redevelop the adjoining Transworks building in Fort. The construction would start in August 2013, and be completed in 30 months (February 2016).
News stated that Krrish Groups will committed to paid their balance of Rs. 800 million before July 2013, which already paid Rs 41.1billion which is 85% of the total commitment.
Each tower would comprise 95 floors and both towers would be joined by two bridges, one of which would be used as the lobby of the 200 room hotel and Krrish would look at a hotel chain to manage this hotel.
Hotel rooms would have private swimming pools and would also have 600 apartments, office space, restaurants, retail outlets, cinema and parking for 3,000 vehicles.
He also spelled out plans to make the Krrish tower development with 95 floors as the tallest building in South Asia and the tenth biggest development in the world.

Liberty Plaza is spending upto Rs 964 million to re-develop its mall, the first large-scale mall in Sri Lanka, creating a new experience.
Under the refurbishment-revamping project of the existing Liberty Plaza, there will be two floors of retail extending to 20,000 sq.ft each. This proposed addition will be connected to die existing mall on the first and second levels. This development will also include an additional car park deck to cater for the future demand.
The existing office spaces in the second floor adjoining the new food court will be converted to retail space under the revamping project. This will bring in an additional retail space of 20,000 sq.ft to the existing retail space of Liberty Plaza. Further, a food court will be developed in the 2nd floor which will be operated by a third party
There will be a pedestrian pathway around Liberty Plaza with features like urban verandas and coffee shops.
The National Zoological Gardens in Dehiwala will import three lion cubs to add to the current lion exhibits at the zoo, the lion cubs will be brought to the zoo this month. Two female cubs are to be imported from Germany while a male cub will be imported from South Korea. it is expected that they are around 2 years old.
The male lion cub is expected to arrive to srilanka on May 9 , 2013 and will be added to the display soon. The Colombo Zoo does have 6 Lions at the moment and most of these are over 15 years old and physically weak in health conditions.

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa opened South Asia’s first underwater tunnel aquarium at Water World, Biyagama, Sri Lanka. The water world is built on a 47 feet long concrete platform at a cost of Rs. 60 million. This tunnel is 30 feet long and 37 feet wide.
Singapore and Taiwan were supplies equipment for builds the Water World in Sri Lanka. The construction was taken 13 months from its commencement.
Fish exhibited in this aquarium was obtained from Dehiwala, Negombo, Galle, Matara, Trincomalee and Batticaloa and the tunnel holds over 200,000 litres of sea water and is home to over 500 fish of many varieties.
