EPS-TOPIK Requirement System for Korean Jobs

Ministry of Employment and Labor in Korea (MOEL) and the Ministry of Foreign Employment (MFE) announce implementation of point system for recruitment of foreign workers, scheduled to launch this year.

Point system takes different road with EPS-TOPIK based recruiting to comprehensively examine a person with their skills, physical condition, experiences including but not limited to their ability for Korean. Specifically, on the physical conditions. Applicants with color blindness, color weakness are not permitted to pass the point system based test. Also, applicants with any physical handicaps such as the slipped disc, finger amputation cannot pass the point system.

In the Recruitment Point System, candidates will be selected in the order of highest scores by industries. To pass the first round, a candidate has to get at lease the designated points (40 for Manufacture, 36 for Fishery). After that, at most 200% of the expected number of final passers of the point system will be selected in order of highest scores by industries to take the second round.

Passers at the first round of test will get a chance to take the second round of test which consists of Skills test and Competency test. In the second round the scores of these tests will be added up. Considering the accumulated point, the candidates within the expected number of selections will be selected to pass the point system in the order of the highest scores.

In the second round of the test, the candidates who have work experiences in the chosen industry, national certificates corresponding to the chosen industry, and training course completions related to the chosen industry must submit documentary evidence for the Competency test. Also all passers of first round must take Skills test. The candidates who do not take Skills test will not pass the point system.

Candidates must check their physical states in terms of the color weakness and the color blindness to apply the first round of the test. EPS-TOPIK.

Furthermore, the candidates found to have colour blindness or colour weakness in Skills test, will not pass the point system. If candidates are judged to be unable to work in the applied industry, the candidate also could be excluded.

HRD Korea will make it easier for workers to be recruited in Korean companies by advertising its Point system to Korean employers. In the meantime, we will anticipate your active cooperation on implementing the point system.

3,514 Lankans qualify for Korean jobs

A total of 3514 candidates, who sat for the Korean Language Proficiency Examination were selected for jobs in South Korea, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment announced yesterday.

The official results of the examination could be obtained from the Foreign Employment Bureau website www.slbfe.lk. This was the first exam held under the newly launched point system.

According to the results of the Korean language proficiency examination held on August 8-September 19 and October 1-2, 3514 candidates out of 20, 187 candidates who sat for the examination, had qualified to go to Korea for employment.

The exams were held for those who sought jobs in the fisheries and production sectors and the Korean Human Resources Institute had published the list of names of the candidates who obtained marks above the cut-off mark in the respective disciplines.

Interviews for the qualified candidates would be held from October 17 to 20 at 14 regional centres including Anuradhapura, Kandy, Ratnapura, Kadawatha, Galle, Tangalle, Badulla and Trincomalee.

The KLP exam was held under the supervision of the Examinations Department.


2016 /2017 Korean Language Proficiency (EPS TOPIK ) result to be Released 12th October 2016

Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment announced that that 2016 /2017 Korean Language Proficiency (EPS-TOPIK System) examination result schedule to be release on 12th October 2016.

This Examination; is the first Korean Language Proficiency examination held under EPS-TOPIK System and 90.3% of participants have been qualified in their Korean Language Proficiency level.

Those who qualified the above examination could apply for the Skill Test and Competency test from 17th to 20th October 2016 and the examination will be help from 16th November to 22nd November 2016 of 7 days.

The final result would be release on 7th December 2016 on Wednesday.

Officials state this is the only examination is considered by the Korean Employers and high commissions for offering visa and none of the other Language qualifications are not considerable for working in Korea.

Therefore the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment announces beware from fake a institution who offers fake Language courses and certificates.

2016 /2017 Korean Language Proficiency Online Exam Registration Forms release now

The registration forms for the Korean Language Proficiency Examination will issue from 20th to 23rd June 2016 via 15 Foreign Employment Bureau centres islandwide such as Anuradhapura, Badulla, Kandy, Matara, Ratnapura, Galle, Kadawatha, Seeduwa,Tangalle, Kurunegala, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Jaffna and Polonnaruwa.

This will be the first exam to be held under the Point System. The Korean Language Proficiency examination prevailed earlier as a written examination but the Human Resources Department of Korea decided to hold it as an online examination in order to overcome shortcomings which prevailed with the written examination.

The online examination is scheduled to be held in July this year at CBT Center in Depanama, Pannipitiya.

Due to major fraud and illegal business done by thired party businesses, Foreign Employment Bureau advise the applicant to obtain information only from the Foreign Employment Bureau.
