Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankans for the award of masters scholarships offered by the Government of Indonesia under the above scholarship scheme. The medium of study is Indonesian language.

General eligibility requirements:

(a)     Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

(b)   Applicants must have a First or Second Class (Upper Division) degree from a recognized university

(c)    Applicants should be below 35 years  of age on 11.04.2011

(d)   Be employed in the Public Sector, University , or a State Corporation

(e)   No application will be entertained from a person holding a temporary/ casual/ contractual appointment or a person who is unemployed. Only confirmed employees will be considered for the scholarships.

(f) An employee on probation may apply provided however that his/her confirmation is conditional upon acquiring a specified postgraduate qualification, in such a case a statement to that effect should be included in cage 17 of the application.

(g) Should possess a TOEFL score of 450 or equivalent

Fields of Study:

Humanities, Science, Agriculture Sciences, Social Science, Engineering, Education, Multi – disciplinary Studies

Period of study:

• Indonesian Language     – 8 months
• Preparatory Programme               –  4 months
• Masters Programme                      –  24 months

Terms of Award:

(a) Settlement allowance

(b) Cost of  living Rp. 1.500.000/- per month (while taking the Indonesian language course)

(c)  During the masters programme

• Cost of Living (net, monthly) =  Rp.1500.000
• Research Allowance (monthly) = Rp.400.000
• Books (net, monthly) = Rp. 350.000

(d) A round-trip international airfare (economic class) including local transport to the      host university

(e) Health Insurance: Health insurances shall covered selected medical services wotj maximum of Rp. 150.000
