The Australian High Commission and Australia-Sri Lanka Alumni (ASLA) invites graduates of Australian universities to attend a professional networking event which will include a focussed discussion on Advancing Women’s Leadership and Economic Empowerment.
Guest speaker, Ms Elizabeth Broderick, Special Advisor to the Executive Director of UN Women on Private Sector Engagement and former Australia Sex Discrimination Commissioner will speak about Australia’s successful Male Champions of Change strategy and a senior leader of the Sri Lankan government will discuss progress towards and barriers to gender equality in Sri Lanka.
The second half of the evening will provide an informal opportunity for networking with fellow alumni over refreshments.
Date: Tuesday 15 August
Time: Registration opens at 6pm for 6:30pm start; 8:30pm close
Venue: Jubilee Ballroom. Galle Face Hotel, Colombo 1
Cost: free (entry is limited to Australian graduates only)
