The Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry indicates that Northern Province is shining in fish production after 30 years of war.
The Northern Province were provides 43% if the Total Fish harvest in the Country and its reduced to 7% in terrorism. The same way the eastern province too contributes 15.5% of fish harvest in total country in before terrorism, which decreased to 8% and increased back to 21%.
The Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry has spent Rs. 500 Million for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development projects in North and East.
It is aim to increase the total Fish export to 38,000 Metric tons by the end of 2013.
