The Srilanka Customs have setup a Duty FREE allowance for Tourists and Srilankan / Residents while enter to Srilanka.

This is rules are valid in Air or Sea transit to the Nation.

Duty Free Allowance for Tourists

• Personal Clothing other essentials
• 2 Regular size Bottle of wine and a half a liter of Spirits
• Toilet water not exceeding a Quarter Liter, and a Small quantity of Perfume and Souvenirs, Value not exceeding USD 250.0 meant for commercial purpose.

Duty Free Allowance for Srilankan / Residents

The Duty free allowance in Srilanka for Srilankan and Residents are based on the number of days stays in aboard.

The baggage of a passenger who is ordinary resident in Srilanka

Alcoholic Liquor not exceeding 2 ½ liters, wine not exceeding 2 Liters and perfumed spirits not exceeding Quarter liter.

If you stay less than 90 days in aboard

You can purchase Alcoholic Liquor not exceeding 2 ½ liters, wine not exceeding 2 Liters and perfumed spirits not exceeding Quarter liter and USD 125.00 worth of goods on Duty free Shop,

If you don’t brought any goods from abroad can purchases up to USD 187.50

If you stay more than 90 to less than 365 days in aboard

You can purchase Alcoholic Liquor not exceeding 2 ½ liters, wine not exceeding 2 Liters and perfumed spirits not exceeding Quarter liter and USD 500.00 worth of goods on Duty free Shop,

If you don’t brought any goods from abroad can purchases up to USD 625.00

If you stay more than 365 days in aboard

You can purchase Alcoholic Liquor not exceeding 2 ½ liters, wine not exceeding 2 Liters and perfumed spirits not exceeding Quarter liter and USD 1,000.00 worth of goods on Duty free Shop,

If you don’t brought any goods from abroad can purchases up to USD 1750.00

For minors,

If you stay less than 90 days in aboard

You can purchase USD 87.50 worth of goods on Duty free Shop,

If you don’t brought any goods from abroad can purchases up to USD 125.00

If you stay more than 90 days in aboard

You can purchase USD 187.50 worth of goods on Duty free Shop,
