Do you not have 1 or 2 yr FDs with interest paid, monthly?
Do you deduct govt tax straight from the interest paid?
For over Rs500,000 or over Rs 1 M are there better rates?

Its really discouraging, I requested for FD rates ,but the rates that sprang up was ,Rates effective June 2012
