Seylan Bank PLC announced to CSE; that the company decided to offer the Voluntary Retirement Scheme for employees of all categories with view of reducing 250 Employees.

The Seylan Bank PLC expected to spend Rs.700 Million on this purpose.

The company further says Voluntary Retirement Scheme become necessary to reduce cost in long term perspective.

Voluntary Retirement Scheme will help the bank to reduce the long term cost respective as a cost cutting activities. This may lead the value addition to the shareholders and the other stakeholders in order to increase the value addition to the Bank and their services.
