13^th June 2011, the Panasian Power PLC announced to Colombo Stock Exchange that company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Padiyapelella Hydro Power (Pvt) Ltd for the acquisition of their entire shares.

Padiyapelella Hydro Power (Pvt) Ltd is presently owns 2 Mini Hydro Power Projects in Padiyapelella in the central province.

Phase one will contribute 3.5 Megawatts to the national Grid from January 2012 and power purchase agreement has been signed for Phase 2 for a capacity of 3 Megawatts.
