The Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC company announced to Colombo Stock Exchange that the company obtain licenses and permits to carryout Biomass and Dendro Power Generation of 6 Mega Watts.

The project is approximately cost to Rs.1.5 Billion and to be located on a 2.5 Hectares of land close to Mahaweli River at Anguruwagala village in Uva province.

The Tokyo Cement Power (Lanka) Limited will be a fully own subsidiary of Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC. The construction of the plant will span over a period of 18 months and expected to test run in Mid 2013.
