The Upper Kotmale Hydro Power Plants are in the stage of Completions, the Upper Kotmale Power Plants have added 75 MWs in testing Process and it will expect to powered the National power requirements and fulfill the needs of electricity.

The Upper Kotmale Power Plants project had commence on 2006 with the Japanese Government financial assistance. And it is expected to supply 150 MWs into Nation Power Grid in May 2012. The Upper Kotmale Power Plants will generate 1,000,409 Electricity Units per Year.
