The Colombo Port City projects have incurred more cost USD 900 Million for to develop 243 Acres. The project was proposed on USD 700 Million for 500 acres in three years ago.

The China Harbour Engineering Company has been offered 14% of the 243 Acres land on long lease at an investment (99 Years) of USD 2 Billion.

The area will be developed as a port city with appropriate planning to provide it with roads, water, and electricity and Communication facilities. In addition to that setups a shopping area, water sports area, a Mini Golf area, Hotels, Apartments and marinas. The SLPA expects USD 15 Billion to creating these facilities in Colombo Port City.
