Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will be implementing an Assistance Scheme under the provision of Budget Proposals 2013 to Improve Quarantine/ Withholding Facilities of the Ornamental Fish Exporters/ Indirect Exporters to comply with National and International standards.
Eligibility & Selection Procedure
Proposals are invited from Ornamental fish Exporters/ Indirect Exporters who are currently engaged in the ornamental fish business, for assistance under the Scheme
Assistance
EDB assistance will be provided to selected companies on a reimbursement basis to cover 50% of the cost of following activities Items up to a maximum of Rs. 1.5 Mn.
- Construction of Cement ponds & Glass tanks
- Setting up of individual filtering units including filters, filter tanks, pipe lines, electric motors, protein skimmers, cooling units and aeration units etc.
- Laboratory equipment such as microscope, electricity conductivity meters, ph meters, Thermometers.
- Construction of packing centers
Selection
Short listed companies will be interviewed by an interview panel.
Application Procedure
Proposals should be made on the prescribed format available at the Export Agriculture Division, 6th Floor of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board or download from the web site www.srilankabusiness.com. (Under the section “Announcement”)
The proposals should be sent under registered post to reach the Director/ Export Agriculture Division, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, No 42, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 02, on or before 22nd February 2013
