The bank of Ceylon reopening its- Money and banking Museum and needs your help to enrich its collection
Do you have a curious piece of banking machinery or perhaps some old coins and currency that you are to share? The money and banking museum at the Bank of Ceylon can be a home for your treasures, equipped to display objects with the highest standards of presentation and safe keeping. If you are in possession of the following rare collectibles
- Sri Lankan Coins (before 1870) including coffee tokens,
- Sri Lankan Currency Notes (before 1980)
- Accounting machines (NCR/Burroughs/ Ascotta etc.)
- Cheque writers/protectors
- Type writers Vintage Photographs of bank of Ceylon
- Vintage magazine ads of bank of Ceylon
- Early office equipment and stationary
- Other relevant items
And are interested in donating or lending towards this worthy cause, please contact the Museum Coordinator on 0112205335/6 on Monday to Friday 8.00Am-5.00pm.
