Bank of Ceylon Becomes the first State Institution contribute 1 MW Power to National Grid

Bank of Ceylon Green Banking proudly announced that the 27 BOC solar powered branches contributes 1 MW to the national grid and this is the first time a state financial institution to contribute 1 MW to the National Grid.

Through this achievement BOC Save environment on following,

  • Bank of Ceylon saves the nation Rs 27.74 million annually by producing 1.387 million units of electricity.
  • 1,205.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission is prevented per annum.
  • 13,854 trees are protected annually.

This is another BOC Green Banking initiative towards building a sustainable nation.
