The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) appointed cricketing legend and Member of Parliament Sanath Jayasuriya the Tourism Ambassador of Sri Lanka at Bangalore, India.

The Economic Development Ministry is kept on promoting Sri Lanka tourism in India to improve Indian tourist to increase with holiday tourism in Sri Lanka. according to past records the Indian tourist are contribute more on Srilankan tourism than any of other countries in the world.
