The Liberty Plaza made an announced to Colombo Stock Exchange that the Colombo Land and Development Company PLC has entered into a Sales Agreement to purchases a plot of land on Duplication road adjacent to Liberty Plaza Southern Car Park at a Cost of 221 Million.

The Liberty Plaza is constructing a 180 Room City Hotel which will cater to the fast growing demand of tourist accommodation in the city of Colombo. The Project will be commencing in later part 2012 and Hotel will be complete by 2014.

Business Opportunity for City Hotels in Colombo

According to Srilanka tourism development; the hospitality service in city limits boom and increased the demand for the Business Hotels and City Hotels.

The Government of Srilanka also considering the development of Tourism and Boosting the Support services and other business to improve the position as Gate way of South Asia.
