The Government made procedures to obtain the Dual Citizenship in Srilanka for those who applies for a face to face interview with the panel headed by Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The interviewing Panel with Foreign Ministry Secretary Karunatillake Amunugama and Public Administration Secretary RB. Abeykoon.

The panel will look criteria of applicant’s professional qualifications, investment capacity and the need to obtain dual citizenship.

About 2000 Dual Citizenship application received and pending while there were 4000 Dual Citizenships were granted from the time its introduce.
