Jaffna Health Service Director Dr. R. Ketheeswaran made an announcement that nearly 1.6 Million Liter of arrack consumed by people in Jaffna in 2012.

Most of the young generation adapted to the drinks and students preparing for university entrance examinations are among in the group. In overall 65 percent population of Srilankan consumed alcohol.
